It looks really great! Some of the emotion from the books seems lacking in the "I volunteer!" moment, but maybe in context of the full movie, it'll be there. I hope so. High expectations make disappointments. I loved the parts with Gale in the forest and the way they're all watching when the games begin. It makes it feel very real.
Looks good, but it's only a small trailer. It's a lot of expectations and I hope the whole movie lives up to them. They have a lot to work with, hope they don't miss the opportunity. Can't wait to watch it!

@Lisa--I hear ya. The final shot of them sprinting for their lives? Yep. It got to me.
@Katrina--I do think the emotion is there, but I found the editing to be too rushed. Maybe they'll draw it out in the movie? Oh, and anything Gale-related (in the movie, at least) is my cup of tea ;)

I loved. I almost didn't want to watch it, because the movies have a lot to live up to. I have such clear ideas about who these characters are that it's a little weird to see actual human beings playing them (like, I love me some Daniel Radcliffe, et al, but it still makes me a little sad to read the books and see HIS face in my head).
But I thought the trailer really did a great job, and I can't wait to see the movie (decked out in head-to-toe tribute gear with a bow strapped to my back...).
I still wish the whistle didn't sound like the X-Files theme :/
