Harry Potter is an orphan who lives with his emotionally abusive aunt and uncle who make him sleep in a room under the stairs.

On his eleventh birthday, he receives a visitor, Hagrid,

who informs Harry he's been accepted at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

During the school year while studying magic, Harry learns he has an archenemy whose goal is to destroy him.
