Ready, Set, Write! Friday Prompt-Fest

Happy Friday, House of Awesome! I hope everyone's week is winding down pleasantly.

I don't know about you guys, but by the time March rolls around, winter can feel a tad bit draining. (Even my winter clothes are looking kinda ragged - from too much wear, no doubt!) It can be hard to keep up the writing when all you want to do is huddle in a blanket fort with some hot chocolate, but I'm going to tackle my drafting hard tomorrow!

Like a lot of you, I'll be working double-time on my WiP (on Chapter 14 of 20, baby!) so for those of you in-between projects, or looking to shake things up with something different, this post is going to be a little prompt-fest for you. I know for me, setting is always a big thing when I start something new, so here are a few possible settings for you to work from:

All pictures were taken by me! I would tell you where they're from, but I wouldn't want to get in the way of your imagination. :)

If you'd like to contribute your own prompt in the comments, you're more than welcome! Otherwise, have an awesome weekend, and happy writing!

I have a great idea for an entry in the Writer Fail prompt contest, so I hope I'll have time to do something with it this weekend!

Thanks for the beautiful photos, Becky! And thanks for the link, Angelica! You guys make weekends fun. :)

I'm doing something unfun right now: Scrivener tutorial. Since I have very little "me" time right now, it's taking me days to get through. I'm excited about the possibilities, though.

Oooh, Katrina, tell me how it goes! I've always been so curious about Scrivener...

I will. Wes was singing its praises, as was Authoress. I was sold. :)

So far it does seem promising, but complex. It'll be a new way of drafting for me.

Beautiful pictures. It doesn't prompt me to write, though. I'm prompted to get in my car and find my own beautiful spot to de-stress. :) Unfortunately that is impossible at the moment, so I might blow up a few of the photographs and dream about being there instead.
