| Tension in the three act structure |
If you're like me, you've read about several different options for story structure. Most that I've read talk about variations on the “three act” structure. Sometimes, when I'm stuck on a plot point, I'll look at those variations and something I find there will help me get unstuck.
If you're stuck in your story, try reminding yourself about the three act structure.
