Really curious what defines "southern gothic" or to see a list of titles that fit in that category.
K. Turley, "Southern gothic" refers to darker fiction set in the South. There are usually supernatural (or otherwise unusual) elements to the plot, but it usually also explores a Southern family or community and the various issues involved in them. Though sadly, I can't think of any titles off the top of my head...Hope that helps somewhat!
Great description of "southern gothic," Becky! I keep thinking of Fallen by Lauren Kate. It's set in Georgia at a crumbly, ancient boarding school that happens to have a graveyard and creeping vines and fallen angels.
